I started keeping bees in 2015 with 20 bee colonies, and currently I have 25. My plan is to increase the number of honey bee colonies and dedicate myself more in the future. Beekeeping requires lots of love and care for the bees. My experience with the Nature Conservation Programme and the membership in the Honey East core group encouraged me and made it possible for me to upgrade my knowledge about beekeeping, at a time when I was not able to put in the required dedication due to a traffic accident.
As a woman involved in beekeeping I want to send a message to other women who want to rear bees, not to hesitate, because women can be beekeepers equally well as men, and thus earn additional income.
